BV taking anitibiotic and probiotics after?
i am going to take antibiotics to treat bv for 7 days. then i want to take probiotics … i have Bifidobacterium probitic… not acidophilous… will that work? and how long should i take probioics till i am able 2 have unprotected sex with my husband again? i dont want the bv to come back
Probiotics like acidophillous (using this one as the example) can be taken indefinitely even after the antibiotic is done but they work best for preventing yeast whereas BV is a different kind of infection.
The probiotics will help protect against having a yeast infection while on the treatment for the BV.
I would recommend checking with your pharmacist as well to see what they say.
