Can enzymes or probiotics be used as suppositories?
Which of these supplements can be used as suppositories:
Probiotics
Digest Gold Digestive Enzymes
Acid Ease (has three digestive enzymes, slippery elm, and marshmallow root)
I’ve been constipated for a week, the stool is hard, I just used a Vitamin E natural suppository last night but the stool is still too hard to push out.
Will taking a probiotic or digestive enzyme help liquify the contents in the bowel? If I add the Acid Ease to my food it starts liquifying immediately, so I was wondering if it would have the same effect on my stool.
My recommendation to you:
First, you need to get whatever is in there out. Go to your local drug store and pick up 2 bottles of Magnesium Citrate. It is a saline laxative that costs at most $2 per bottle, and kinda tastes good in a salty way…
Drink the First bottle (tastes better cold) and wait, if after 4 hours you don’t have diarrhea then drink the second. Saline Laxatives draw water into your bowel and make your stool loose. Keep hydrated while you wait. It will come out, and it won’t be too uncomfortable. Make sure you look at your poo to see if there was any reason for the back up. Sometimes you’ll have undigested foods which may indicate a malabsorption problem or low gastric acidity.
Next, you want to make sure any future stools don’t have the same problem. do these things:
eat breads, they tend to stimulate the digestive system. Eat a minimum of 4 servings a day.
take some kind of oil supplement (cod liver oil, or especially coconut oil) these will lubricate your poo, and the coconut oil can fight off candida and parasites if you have them.
Begin taking oral probiotics, and take them for at least a month.
Most people would say increase fiber, but in all that doesn’t seem to work for most constipation, still it will add girth to your poo and would be helpful for cleaning up down there.
